Ibis Arrastia is a Software Engineer with over 25+ years of technology integration implementation, software architecture, and software development experience. She specializes in online stores, eCommerce and payment systems. She has been building technology for South Florida companies for the last 3 decades and has been at many recognizable corporations such as Ryder.com, Lexis Nexis, MovieTickets.com (now Fandango.com), Vitacost.com (now Kroger.com), Advantage Rent-a-Car, UA Brands.com, and more.

For the past 7 years, Ibis has been driven by making a difference in her hometown of Miami, leading organizations and events aimed at helping others succeed in the technology industry. Her roles have included Founder of Girl Develop It Miami Chapter, Curriculum Designer and Instructor at Girls Who Code, Instructor at DesignLab Miami, Adjunct Professor at FVI School of Technology, and Instructor at Miami Dade College teaching Internet of Things at the Idea Center. She also collaborated with the Miami Fashion Institute to bring FashionTech to the stage at Art Basel.

She is well known as a local tech community leader, inspiring and mentoring others to pursue tech innovation and entrepreneurship. She is also a strong advocate for women in tech, additive manufacturing, and creative, out of the box brainstorming and prototyping.
